Agnipath Scheme: IAF begins registration process for Agnivir Vayu recruitment

The Agnipath recruitment initiative has initiated the registration process for Agnivir Vayu positions in the Indian Air Force (IAF). Registration commenced on June 24 and will remain open until 5 pm on July 5. Prospective candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can submit their applications online at agnipathvayu.cdac.in.

Applicants are required to pay an examination fee of Rs.250 during the online registration process. The online examinations are scheduled to commence on July 24, 2022.

Agnivir Vayu recruits will be enlisted in the Indian Air Force under the Air Force Act of 1950 for a four-year term, occupying a unique rank distinct from existing ones. The Indian Air Force is not obligated to retain Agnivir Vayu beyond the initial four-year engagement. Upon completing the four-year service period, Agnivir Vayu individuals will have the opportunity to apply for permanent enrollment in the Indian Air Force.

Eligibility Criteria:

– Age Limit: Candidates born between December 29, 1999, and June 29, 2005, inclusive of both days, are eligible. If a candidate successfully clears all selection stages, the upper age limit at the time of enrollment is 23 years.
– Academic Qualification: Candidates must have completed their class 10 and possess their intermediate/10+2 or equivalent mark sheet. For those applying via an engineering diploma, a final mark sheet from a government-recognized polytechnic is required.
